A conference organized by the Institut des Sources Chrétiennes (Lyon) will be held in Athens at the S. Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. It is entitled : « Christian Sources : the Greek and Latin contributions to European culture ». The event, which aims to confront the Catholic and Orthodox approaches to patristic sources, celebrates the 75th anniversary of the publication of the first volume of the Sources chrétiennes series. On that occasion a complete collection has been sent to Athens. Bollandist Xavier Lequeux will talk about “Hagiographic literature, a common patrimony to the Eastern and the Western Churches before the 8th century”.
